Miami Dade County Region Week

Join us in Tallahassee the week of January 30, 2012 to February 3, 2012.

Continue to visit and call your legislators throughout the legislative session. They should recognize you and remember  the issues that concern you. 

Florida PTA 

Florida PTA’s Rally In Tally events for the past 3 years have been extremely successful. We
believe, though, that our Legislators need to see our passion and commitment throughout
the entire Legislative Session. For this reason, Florida PTA is returning to Region Weeks
during the legislative session, January 10 through March 9, 2012.

Every Region throughout our State will be assigned one week during Session to travel to
Tallahassee. You may choose to go on one given day or stay for several. The option is
yours.

Florida PTA’s Legislative Committee will have committee members in Tallahassee
throughout Session and will be available to assist you with the latest news and hot topics
happening in our Legislature.
We encourage middle and high school students to attend with you. They will experience,
first hand, our government in action…a social studies/civics lesson they will always
remember.

 
Make your travel plans and legislative appointments early.

We know where our elected officials stand on issues of education and the well being of our
children by their actions this past year. They need to do better. Now it is our turn to come
together and show them the “power of PTA”!
If you cannot travel during your Region Week, or would like to return to Tallahassee, the
weeks of February 20 and February 27 are open and a member from our Legislative
Committee will be there to assist you.
